David Archuleta

David James Archuleta or David Archuleta is a famous American pop singer and song writer. He is a Runner-up on the seventh season of American Idol with receiving fourty four percent of over ninety seven million votes.

At ten years old he won the children's division of the Utah Talent Competition leading to other television singing appearances. When he was twelve years old, Archuleta became the Junior Vocal Champion on Star Search 2. In 2007, at sixteen years old, he became one of the youngest contestants on the seventh season of American Idol. And then, he finished as the Runner-up.

David Archuleta was born in Miami, Florida on December 28, 1990. His father name is Jeff Archuleta and His Mother name is Lupe Marie Mayorga. His father is a Jazz player and singer. And his mother is a salsa singer and dancer from Honduras.  He has four siblings. They are Claudia Archuleta, Daniel Archuleta, Jazzy Archuleta, and Amber Archuleta.

When he was six, his family moved to the Sandy, Utah suburb of Salt Lake City. He now lives in Murray where he attended Murray Hight School and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Boy Scouts of America.

David Archuleta started singing when he was six years. He inspirated by Les Miserables video. He started performing publicly at age ten years when he participated in the Utah Talent Compatition. And he received a standing ovation and won the Child Division.

When he was twelve years old, David Archuleta sang on several episodes of the television show Star Search. He ended as  the Junior Vocal Champion on Star Search 2. On one episode, he sang againts Alexandrea Lushington, who became a “top 20” semi finalist on American Idol with David Archuleta.

David Archuleta’s compating on Star arch was preceded by an appearance on the Jenny Jones Show and meeting the finalists from American Idol first season and he received praise from season one winner, Kelly Clarkson.

The year after Star Search, he found out he had partial vocal paralysis but declined risky surgery and has said he feels he is almost fully recovered. But when it happen, he has trainer that helped David Archuleta to make his voice back. His name is Dean Kaelin. Dean Kaelin is a profesional voice trainer in American.Because he cannot singing again he try to study play piano and write some song.

After five years later, David’s voice is back. Then, he try to attend on the seventh season of American Idol. And in the end, he became the Runner-up on the seventh season of American Idol.
